PLC – PLC communication with PUT/GET instruction

PLC – PLC communication with PUT/GET instruction

Here we have two system configurations for checking PLC-PLC communication.

 System 1:

CPU 315-2 PN/DP: we will be using ethernet onboard of the PLC.

 System 2:

CPU 313C-2DP and CP 343-1 lean: we will be using CP 343-1 lean port for the communication.


SYSTEM 1 Configuration 

Create configuration as below on system 1 hardware configuration.


a.       Insert new connection to be select in netpro as per below screenshot:



Create new connections with below setting. Here partner will be CP343-1 lean of another system. No such connections in netpro will be required to create in System 2


    Create DB of send receive as per the struct shown below in screenshot. You can change the type of struct. This is the are where you will send or receive the data.

       

        Create the FB14/FB15 from communication library in OB1 of project. Parameters can be define as per below screenshot. Also provide memory for done, error etc for easy troubleshooting.




SYSTEM 2 Configurations:

Create the hardware configuration as per below screenshot.


Now copy the DB from system 1 to system 2. No programming or netpro configuration will be required in system 2.

 After this your can check the data transfer. For more details please check the GET/PUT standard help/manual.
