Sinking and Sourcing Concept

Image
what is the mean of sinking and sourcing digital input and output??? Basically we can understand that if supply feedback coming from input than it is sinking and if 0 Volt feedback is coming than it is sourcing. second way to say that switch is between supply and card than it is sinking and switch is between ground and card than it is sourcing. From this we can understand that if card is giving output 24 V to load than it is sourcing and if it is giving 0 Volt to load than it is sinking.
